It is an hour before bed time. I do not want to wear a diaper. So Mom lets me wear big girl panties for the first time. I pick out a pair with hearts and flowers. And prance around the den.
Dad is tense. But Mom just smiles.
“You will do fine,” Mom says.
And I do.
Then Mom puts a diaper on me before she tucks me in for the night.
“You are a big girl,” Mom says as she kisses me good night.
