We head north to a small, quaint town that lights up its park for the holidays. There are lots and lots of lights. Lights of every color.

Mom leans one cookie next to another cookie. She squirts icing to seal the cookies together in the shape of the letter L. Mom does this again. Now the cookies make a square.
“Should our house have a roof?” Mom asks.

We drive two more days and head home. The closer we get, the colder it gets.
