We take a car to the airport. A train from the parking lot to the airport building. A tram to get to our gate. And then the plane. Finally! The plane.
And we fly to see my other parents.
“Who are your other parents?” Mom asks.
My grandparents, I say.
“Oh,” Mom says. And smiles.

We get in our van and drive farther north.
