Dora’s reign is over. I talke off my Dora dress.
Put this away, I tell Mom.
My new friend is Diego. Diego can make animal noises and talk to wild animals.
Diego! Diego! I beg Mom. Until she breaks down and buys me some Diego shows.
Diego dress, I ask next.
“Sorry,” Mom laughs. “I don’t think there is one.”

You can’t go wrong with purple, I think. And Dad agrees.
Dad hangs up my purple bird feeder. And I wait and watch for birds.

A plane flies over my head.
I look up at the blue sky. And see two streaks of white clouds following the plane.
Look, Mommy, I yell. Plane tracks.

My baby gets hungry. And when she’s hungry, she can eat a whole bottle of milk. And a whole sippy cup of juice!
