Mom takes the lid off a tub of white fluff. She smears it on a cake.

I do not hang my coat and hat by the tot’s room at day care. I have a new shelf and a new hook to hold my things. My day care has made a new place just for me. Right by the two-year-old’s room.

I sneak up on Mom.
Pow.
I whack her with an orange crayon.
She grabs a green crayon and bops me back.
Dad jumps in the fray with both hands. A red crayon in one hand for Mom. Pow. A purple in the other for me. Pow.

Top it off

I make such a mess when I eat yogurt that Mom makes me take off my shirt.
“Do you want some yogurt?” Mom asks.
Yes!
I rip off my top and run to the fridge.
